Updated: Feb 13, 2021

THESE CAKE POPS!!! Basically the deliciousness of a cake in one bite, YUM❤️

Seriously delicious easy cake pops! Everyone will love this Valentines Day Treat❤️

Cake pops are cake crumbled up with frosting in a bitesize ball, YUM! Okay but seriously, cake pops are easy to make. Cake pops are a great treat and are COVID friendly because they are all individual. Cake pops are also great if you have a cake disaster. If your cake breaks when you take it out of the pan don't let it go to waste! Whip up a batch of these Cake Pops. They are the perfect treat for any occasion, including Valentine's day. These valentines cake pops are frosted with a pink butter cream, and with sprinkles. You could also coat them in a white chocolate ganache. We personally don't like white chocolate so we decided to shake things up and use frosting.

CAKE:

2 1/2 cups of All-Purpose Flour

2 teaspoons of Baking Powder

1/4 Cup Cornstarch

1 1/2 Cups of White Sugar

2 Sticks or 1 Cup of Salted Butter

3/4 cup milk of choice

1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract

4 Egg Whites

1/4 cup of Vegetable or Canola Oil

FROSTING:

We love this vanilla frosting recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction!

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. Sift the cornstarch, flour and baking powder into a bowl

  3. Beat the butter and sugar in an electric mixer

  4. Add the egg whites one by on into the mixer

  5. Add the vanilla to the egg mixture

  6. Add the milk and flour to the egg mixture alternating which you add

  7. Make sure the two mixtures are completely combined

  8. Split the batter into cake pans and bake for 20-25 minutes

  9. Let cakes sit after they come out of oven

  10. Crumble up the cake and slowly add it to the frosting mixture. Start with less frosting than you think you will need. (Less is more, the frosting goes a long way)

  11. Once you get to the desired consistency it is time to start rolling the balls

  12. The size of the balls you make is up to you. If you want them to be on a stick you should go on the smaller side. We made them the size of a tablespoon.

  13. You need to melt your frosting in the microwave so you can dip the pops into it.

  14. After dipping the balls in the frosting put them on a greased baking sheet or plate and sprinkle the topping of your choice.

  15. Place them in the freezer for about 15 minutes

  16. Place stick in the ball and and ENJOY!
