This is your new favorite breakfast. You can thank us later😉
After getting bored of the same old food all the time, we decided to spice things up and buy Naan Bread. Naan Bread is flat bread that is oven baked and derived from Western Asia. Naan Bread is different from a typical flat bread because it is made with dairy products like milk or yogurt. This bread is typically eaten with vegetables, chicken and curry. There are many variations and flavors of Naan Bread like, roasted garlic. For this recipe we just used plain. Naan Bread is also a delicious snack with hummus, or cheese. The only downside to Whole Food's Naan bread is that it goes bad quickly, so that means we needed to be creative! This sheet pan recipe is different, cooks quickly and is a simple clean up. This is an easy and delicious breakfast lunch or snack. You can shake this up and make it like a breakfast pizza with sauce cheese and an egg also! Soon we are going to experiment with making homemade Naan Bread!
*To make this all vegan use a vegan flatbread or Naan Bread. (The one linked below is NOT vegan) You can use a plant based cheese of choice, and instead of the egg add extra vegetables like tomatoes, peppers and olives.
Ingredients:
•1 Medium Naan Bread (We LOVE Whole Foods Naan, linked here)
•1 Egg
•2 slices of Cheese of Your Choice (we used munster)
•1/2 Avocado sliced
•1 1/2 tablespoons Olive Oil
•Salt, Pepper, and Garlic to taste
•Dash of Red Pepper Flakes
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450°
2. Put your naan bread on a baking sheet
3. Crack one or two eggs on the naan bread
4. Drizzle with olive oil salt and pepper
5. Bake in the oven until the white is almost completely cooked
6. Add your cheese (we used munster) and put it back in the oven until the white of the egg is fully cooked
