Easy Pea(sy) Olive, and Shrimp, Tomato Sauce with Linguine Pasta

Updated: Jun 7, 2021

This pasta is delicious. It has been one of our favorite creations for a while, and we are so excited to be sharing the recipe with all of you! This is truly the simplest sauce to make and has so much flavor!

Ingredients:

  • Half of a large onion diced

  • Three garlic cloves thinly sliced

  • One small can of tomato sauce

  • One medium can of diced tomatoes

  • 1/3 of a cup of sliced olives of your choice

  • Half pound of medium sized shrimps

  • 1/2 cup of peas

  • One package of pasta of choice, we used Raos Linguine

  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a sauce pan on medium heat add the olive oil (this is important always add oil to a warm pan).

  2. Sauté the garlic and onion with the olive oil.

  3. Add olives and diced tomatoes to the sauce pan once the onions are soft.

  4. Add the can of tomato sauce.

  5. Add salt, pepper, dried basil, and oregano to taste.

  6. Add peas and set sauce aside on low heat. (Add parmesan cheese now if desired)

  7. Cook pasta as directed on the package.

  8. There are two ways to cook the shrimp

    1. In a small pan cook shrimp with garlic powder and olive oil, cook until the shrimps are completely pink and fully cooked.

    2. Throw the shrimp in with the sauce and cook right in the sauce. (If you use this method you will want to keep the sauce on medium heat.)

  9. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, and add shrimps if you haven't already.

  10. ENJOY!
